Important Events
Before 2010, Prof.Chen Jiaming and other faculties of XMU have published a lot of texts to introduce epistemology into China, and instructed many PhD students.
In Jun 2011, XMU established Center for Epistemology and Cognitive Science (CECS), which is the first academic institute of epistemology in China.
In Jun 2011, CECS hosted a workshop of epistemology and cognitive science, and a summer school of epistemology.
In Nov 2012, CECS hosted a national conference of epistemology andcognitive science.
In Nov 2013, XMU established Laboratory for Philosophy, which is the first academic institute of experimental philosophy in China.
In Dec 2013, Chinese Association of Contemporary Philosophy approved the establishment of Chinese Society of Epistemology.
In Jun 2014, CECS hosted an international conference of epistemology and cognitive science and announced the establishment of Chinese Society of Epistemology, the president of which is Prof. Chen Jiaming at XMU.
In Nov 2014, Prof. Chen Jiaming was awarded a nationally significant project of philosophy and social science “Studies of Contemporary Epistemology”, which is the first one in the field of epistemology.
